Dresscode
👕 Casual formal:
Feel free to wear something casual formal. It might be hot already in May, so keep it light. It’s certainly not nessesary to wear a suit, but OK if you do. At Korean weddings we don’t dress up!
👘 Renting a Hanbok:
Our close family members and us will be wearing a traditional Korean outfit (hanbok) It’s not necessary to wear one as a guest, but if you like to rent one, there is a store next to the entrance of the park area.
The day before
📍 Feeling unsure if you can find it?
On the the before (the 11th of May) we will be at the wedding area to do some preparations. Feel free to come and we can show you the wedding venue in the park. You can also try out and rent a Hanbok at the store there, if you want!
Other information
🎁 Gifts: We don’t expect any wedding gifts! It’s customary for Koreans to give some money at the entrance, but that’s not nessesary.
🌧️ Rain: If it’s raining, the ceremony will be held inside. People sitting or standing outside can still watch the ceremony from outside. A large tent will be places for cover against the rain.
💵 Paying in Korea: We recommend getting a Tmoney Card or Cashbee Card (you can get one in any convienent store, also at the airport). With this you can pay almost everywhere, and check in/out in public transportation. Charging can be done trough machines (with cash) or by asking the staff at the convienent store.
🏧 ATMs: Getting money from an ATM should work most of the time. Check for International card symbols and English text near ATM’s, and try ATM’s in touristic areas. Credit cards are sometimes working in stores as well, but not always.
